In the Mood for Jazz

In this series of short concerts, direct from Paris, worldrenowned French trumpeter Stéphane Belomondo is joined by Jesse Van Ruller on guitar and Thomas Bramerie on bass. In addition to the Trio’s elegant soul and jazz sound, bringing a touch of Parisian cool to Hong Kong, French artist Lilo will create a digital animation to accompany the music, delighting both eyes and ears.

French choreographer Marion Motin (in town for In the Middle at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre) introduces three tailor-made dance sessions with her Swaggers Crew. Watch these short and energetic dance pieces mixing pop and hip-hop by a choreographer who has worked with Madonna, Stromae and Christine & The Queen.

From Hong Kong favorite French gipsy-jazz style musicians Gadjo Swingtet, here’s a brand new concept: a special show with Lindy hop dancers strutting out to a band featuring guitars, trumpet, Sax, double bass and drums. There’s only one aim, and that is to swing, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready to join in – some steps will be taught during the third and final session.
