Under the dome showcases 20 abstract paintings of Sun Ho surrounding the theme “We are one world”.  From images sent back from space station, we realise that planet earth is such a beautiful white-blue diamond when all the national traits become invisible and noises silent. This white-blue dot is beautiful and peaceful, but fragile and without resupply. Sun Ho wishes to impress our viewers with the beauty of planet Earth, home to all forms of life we know. We don’t need to search for an alternative to life than Earth if we can keep our home – planet Earth clean and peaceful.

Sun Ho made his career debut as an interior designer, but his passion towards arts has eventually led him to focusing on teaching and painting as a career in 2000.
Following the success from his first solo exhibition in 2009, Sun determined to open his own studio – Atelier Sun Ho. Students of all ages shared and enjoyed Sun’s passion towards arts.

In 2010, Sun established the Hong Kong Paris Contemporary Artists Alliance as a platform of communication for artists of both cities.

Sun Ho & Hong Kong Arts Development Council
In 2014, Sun was admitted as one of the seventeen artists in the ADC Artspace, a project led by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Sun Ho was interviewed by a number of public media, such as RTHK and HK Economic Times. The Artspace is frequently visited by international art societies, and Sun Ho has had a lot of opportunities to share his art works with them.
In 2016, Sun was appointed as a Hong Kong Arts Development Council fund application examiner (art education section).

Serve the community – Art Volunteer Group
Sun believes that art should be enjoyed by everyone, even people under special care. In 2012, Sun formed an “art volunteer team” with his students and friends, and visit the disabled at the sheltered centre regularly. The works from these special friends are an example of creativity without boundaries.
Starting from 2012, Sun was appointed as the voluntary judge for the yearly “Bun Carnival” painting competition, a project affiliated with the traditional “Bun Carnival” of Cheung Chau.

Painting style of Sun Ho
Sun’s painting style is said to have included those of Impressionism, Realism and Expressionism, which is heavily influenced by his time overseas. The vibrant art culture in Paris had demonstrated to Sun that art is life. Following the series “Our Earth, My Passion” and “Lotus”, Sun has evolved from expressionism to abstract and created his new series “Harmony & space”. “Under the dome” is the continuance of his unlimited imagination.
After all, Sun wishes to use painting as a medium to provoke interest in the intertwined world of art, life and nature.
